These puzzles provide enough challenge to be fun. Yet doing them is very relaxing. One of my favorites!

Barely entertaining, not worth the 5 bucks at all
Have found a new developer I love! Appreciate everything about this puzzle game with its beautiful colour combo, animation, and especially the music! This is the kind of puzzle that gives you the opportunity to explore another land taking you to a different time and place if only you’re willing to use your imagination… I love everything Japanese, thank you.
I bought this for my macbook for $5 and they release updates for it with more puzzles on the iPhone but not on the mac version. Ive been waiting months for the new content to come but it never did. Pay double the price, get half the content!
The application is beautifully designed and one of the most original concepts for an app I’ve seen. The sheer simplicity of the application is what makes it so thought provoking at times. Yet, Kami is very relaxing. I love the music and the sound effects.
It’s simple, elegant, and has an almost tactile appeal. The graphics and gentle music offer an experience that’s nearly as addictive as heroin-roasted peanuts. (Not sure what I mean by that. But you get the gist?) Were there more levels, I’d have unfolded a sixth star and added it to this review.
A gorgeous game, perfect for passing a bit of time. Fast, but progressively challenging, too.
This is just a cool game. I have never played anything like it.
Where are the directions. I guess Im unable to figure out how to get it going. I could do the first one but from then on, nothing worked.
once you do the first two pages, its gets somewhat easier, I did the first 8 really fast, the 9th was hard took a long time, 2nd page took twice as long, 3rd page was harder but more enjoyable play on a new theme. Last page is tough, but in this type of game, challenging is why i spent my money. I do admit, there are no directions, but this was a good thing! Directions would have made me thin kabout the problems differently. I mean point and click is really all you need. If not here are some quick directions: 1) point 2) click 3) if you want to change colors, go to the area with rectangular color blocks, one should be “dog-eared.” to change colors, click another color.
I really like the original design and creative nature of the game. However, I just ran it on my 15” MBP (late 2013) and it took my battery down 35% in less than 1 hour. Computer got quite hot quickly as well. There was nothing else running at the time. I guess I will have to play it while plugged in.
Beautiful game but is at best at a tutorial level for difficulty. That on top of the fact that I already reviewed this once and it doesn’t show my review here (it’s not that hard there are only 7 ratings). As the game is I wouldn’t pay for the levels they provided it took a manner of a couple ten minute sessions to beat all 36 levels. I am happy to purchase games like this and don’t even mind if they are short but the level of difficulty of this game is way to easy and since the point of a puzzle game is to be challenged this fell well short. Will update when more levels are added.
I installed this game on my new 2013 Macbook Pro Retina. The graphics and concept of the game is very good. However after a few minutes the fan would start spinning really loudly and the battery drains very quickly when running this game. I am not running any other application while playing this game so this seems odd that a simple game like this could be so resource hungry. I hope an update comes out that would fix this.
The app is beautiful and rewarding to solve. It fills a niche. But, the number of puzzles, and hence time with the app, badly skimps for $5. Once you’ve solved the puzzles, you’ve solved them. No next-level challenges, or tasks to make the game more challenging. If the next levels are in-app purchases, I’ll be deeply disappointed.
This game plays perfectly, with the difficulty increasing smoothly up to the last board - which seems to be impossible. That I got there so quickly is the problem that the game shares with another favoritie of mine - Strata. This game ends way too soon and it doesn’t need to - more boards could be generated on-the-fly! They might not be as perfect as the hand-crafted ones, but would allow the game to continue while more boards are hand built. That’s the only flaw in an otherwise perfect game. As an aside, its not really modeling folding paper, but water filling a space.
This is by far the best puzzle game I’ve seen in years. Beautifully done too for version 1.0! I’m already halfway through the puzzles and I just got it last night :)
I really like this app a lot. It is fun to solve all the puzzles and its SUPER addicting. But... The app is really slow and the fan blows like crazy when its open. Please fix!!
So i just updated Kami, but it erased all of my progress from the original levels! I have to start all over now! If this is a bug with the new version, please fix it as soon as possible!
I have a lifetime subscription for Lumosity which I do every day to keep my brain active. Kami is great for recreation, and mind stimulation. I like the update in that it will give you hints. Many many hours of enjoyment. Many of them are quite challenging - all the better with the hints option now.
It’s attractive, it’s engaging, it’s challenging. Overall a good game. But the hints system is terrible. If you get hint 1, and then use your daily limit of hint points for a hint 2, it will give you the same exact hint. It’s frustrating.
